Collison drops 23 assists during series (no turnovers) in Pacers win, first in playoffs since John Stockton
From Elias: Darren Collison did not start a game for the Pacers in their just-concluded series win over the Magic, but he contributed 23 assists and only one turnover. Magic lose second straight to Pacers
From Elias: The Magic lost to the Pacers on Wednesday night, 97-74, after they were defeated two nights earlier by Indiana, 93-78. Orlando is the first NBA team in seven seasons to allow more than 90 points and score fewer than 80 points in each of back-to-back playoff games. That had last been done by the Spurs in the 2005 Finals. San Antonio lost Game 3 of that series to the Pistons, 96-79, and then Game 4 by a 102-71 score, but still won the NBA title in a seven-game series.

Pacers go scoreless over last 4 minutes in loss
From Elias: Orlando’s shutout of the Pacers over the game’s last four minutes, five seconds marked only the second time in the NBA’s last 500 playoff games that a team had been blanked over a game’s last four minutes. In last year’s playoffs, the Heat scored the last 16 points in Game Five of the Eastern Conference Semifinal against the Celtics, who went scoreless over the last four minutes, 29 seconds, and were eliminated from the playoffs with the loss.

Pacers could struggle at home in the playoffs
From Elias: The Bulls defeated the Pacers at Indiana in a matchup of teams that will have home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs. But keep this in mind for the postseason: The Pacers are 15-0 this season in home games against teams with losing records, but they are 8-10 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse against teams that are at-or-above the.500 mark.

George powers Pacers over Pistons
From Elias: Paul George scored 27 points, including 13 free throws, and added 10 rebounds in the Pacers’ victory over the Pistons on Monday night. The only other starting guard over the last three seasons to match or exceed George’s total of free throws and rebounds in one game was Dwyane Wade, who made 13 foul shots and pulled down 10 rebounds on November 5, 2010 at New Orleans.

Pacers keep winning
From Elias: Danny Granger (29 points) topped Brandon Jennings (27 points) as the Pacers defeated the Bucks, 118-109. It was the fourth game this season in which players from both Indiana and its opponent scored 27 or more points, and the Pacers have won each of those games. The other victories of that kind were against the Mavericks (Paul George and Dirk Nowitzki), Nets (Granger and Deron Williams) and Knicks (Granger and Carmelo Anthony).

David West shows his versatility
From Elias: David West scored 21 points, grabbed 14 rebounds, and handed out seven assists in the Pacers’ 118-109 home win over the Bucks. Only one other Indiana player in the last 19 years has reached those three statistical levels in the same game. Jermaine O’Neal had 21 points, 15 rebounds, and 7 assists against the Celtics on April 12, 2006.

Pacers have a huge first half versus Minnesota
From Elias: The Pacers outscored the Timberwolves 64-30 in the first half en-route to a 111-88 victory in Indiana on Monday night. The 34-point lead the Pacers took into the locker room at halftime was the second largest in the team’s NBA history, surpassed only by the 38-point lead (86-48) Indiana had on Golden State after two quarters on January 15, 1990.
