Grizzlies win without a made 3-pointer, first time since Lakers in 1997

From Elias: The Grizzlies defeated the Clippers, 92-80, despite missing all six of their three-point field-goal attempts. They were the first NBA team in 15 years to win a playoff game by at least 10 points while not making a field goal from beyond the arc. That had last been done by the Lakers, in a 104-84 victory over the Jazz in the 1997 Western Conference Semifinals.

What excites me the most is when a coach calls a timeout and chews out his forward because I just dunked on his head.

Spurs stifle Jazz

From Elias: The Jazz lost to the Spurs, 114-83, with Al Jefferson and Josh Howard each scoring a team-high 10 points for Utah. It was only the third NBA playoff game in the shot-clock era in which a team did not have a player score more than 10 points. That was previously done over that span by the Suns in 2000 (87-65 loss to the Lakers) and the Warriors in 1973 (126-70 loss to the Lakers).

Jazz duo cleans up on the boards, clinch a playoff berth

From Elias: Paul Millsap had 26 points and 15 rebounds and Al Jefferson contributed 18 points and 16 rebounds to help Utah clinch a playoff spot in their win over Phoenix on Tuesday night. It is the first time in more than 22 years that the Jazz have had two players with 15-or-more rebounds in the same game. The last time a Utah tandem did that was on January 23, 1990 when Karl Malone had 18 rebounds and Mark Eaton was credited with 15.

Starting backcourt lifts Jazz

From Elias: Devin Harris had 27 points and one turnover and his backcourt mate Gordon Hayward chipped in with 23 points with only one turnover in Utah’s win over Portland on Wednesday night. It is only the second time that Utah’s starting backcourt has each scored more than 20 points while committing one or fewer turnovers in a winning effort since the NBA began tracking individual turnovers in 1977. The only other such game for the Jazz occurred on March 17, 1987 when starting guards Rickey Green (22 points, one turnover) and Darrell Griffith (26 points, one turnover) did it in a victory over the Clippers.

Jazz play three overtimes for second time this season

From Elias: The Jazz defeated the Mavericks by a score of 123-121 in a triple overtime contest on Monday night. Utah has now played two games that have gone to at least triple overtime this season, losing a quadruple overtime game in Atlanta on March 25. Over the last 50 seasons, only five other teams have played multiple games that have gone to at least three overtimes in a single season: Phoenix in 1997-98 and 2005-06, New York in 2006-07, New Jersey in 2010-11 and Atlanta in 2011-12.
